Farmers Capacity Building and Organizing Program
This program strengthens the capacities of small farmers, women, fishers and indigenous groups to have access to and control over their land, water, forests, seeds, market and capital through organizing, leadership development, value formation, policy advocacy, paralegal work, and local campaigns. The target is to build active people’s organizations that carry the aspirations of the marginalized rural sectors for social justice, promote and protect their rights, and increasingly influence and redirect national and local policies in favour of genuine agrarian reform, greater public support for smallholder farmers, food sovereignty, and gender equity, economic and environmental justice.
