Trade Advocacy Group (TAG)

Formed on May 13 of this year, TAG was envisioned to serve as a temporary mechanism for coordinating efforts of organizations and coalitions in relation to the campaign and advocacy on fair trade especially during the period right before the WTO’s 6th MC in Hong Kong in December. The group met regularly to coordinate efforts, analyze developments and come up with collective actions based on developments. TAG formed the WFD committee which led in the weeklong WFD commemoration in October. Furthermore, TAG collectively monitored developments in relation to the MC-6. Campaign plans have been drawn out both in Hong Kong and in the Philippines especially while the 6th MC will be going on in Hong Kong.
